MARKERS ON CANVAS - There will be a table that will enable people to try different types of markers on some muslin. The markers will include wax crayons, coloring pencils, water colors, water coloring pencils and felt markers.

HOW TO DO A MITRED CORNER - FOR FINISHING THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY RUBY SAMPLER

ENG 40TH ANNIVERSARY RUBY SAMPLER - The Ruby Anniversary of the Edmonton Needlecraft Guild will be celebrated by each member stitching a sampler. Each member will receive a kit containing a pattern, fabric, threads and needles. All the programs at the general meetings will be scheduled so that members can work in groups and gradually stitch the sampler throughout the year. The pattern is a basic sampler design with variations so that the samplers will not all be exactly the same.

BARGELLO BALL - A challenging class for the experienced. Create your own design and choose your own threads. Create as you have never done before!

BARGELLO BALL - Counted canvas work using a traditional design. This is easy for the beginner and gives a beautiful result.

TEMARI BALL - Embroidered surface technique on a ball dating back to the 14th century. This is accomplished by wrapping threads (i.e. pearl cotton, metallic or silk) to create an intricate design with threads of your choice.

FOLDED STAR WITH CROSS STITCH - Counted cross stitch on Aida. Small pieces of fabric are folded, then pinned to a ball to complete the star. Double-edged lace and ribbon finish the ball to create a wonderful Christmas ornament.

STUDY GROUP - The purpose of the study group is to promote original design and idea sharing through the use of loosely structured projects. Fall project will deal with interpretation of traditional motifs (eg. South Western, East Indian, etc.) for use in an original contemporary design.
