Programs are taught at 6:30 pm before General Meetings on February 11th, March 11th, and April 8th, and may continue after the meeting at the teacher’s discretion.

Our WINTER PROGRAMS are suitable for beginner to intermediate stitchers. No experience required. Please bring embroidery scissors and a magnifying light if needed.

Non-Members may take these Programs for an additional fee of $15.


 

Pocket & Hem Gardens

Description:

Bring your own garment to embellish with a garden on the pocket or hem.  Each stitcher’s garden will be a unique creation you’ll be proud to wear.

Incorporating Electronics in Embroidery

Description:

You will use a few basic stitches to make your design and learn how to create a simple electric circuit. We will be using conductive thread to create glowing fireflies. Zero electrical knowledge is needed.

Gain confidence in using a variety of embroidery stitches to enhance the project and become empowered to make design decisions

DETAILS:

Cost: $50 (includes kit). Kit includes background fabric, pattern for design, template for vase, Japanese kimono fabric for vase, and a limited range of wools in various colours for circles (you do not have to use the fall colours shown in picture). Students to bring the embroidery threads they wish to use.

Dates: February, March & April 2025 (3 sessions)
