50th Anniversary Celebration (1974-2024)

The 50th Anniversary celebration activities and events started in January with the monthly Golden Moments and the release of the 50th Anniversary Sampler (designed by Stephanie B who also designed a special name tag for members to stitch).

In March, there was a tour of a selection of the textile collection at the Royal Alberta Museum. The 50th Anniversary Committee also organized a special potluck gathering in June.

The Edmonton Needlecraft Guild's held a 50th Anniversary Retreat on September 29, 2024. The Retreat was held at the Woodvale Community Facility, 4540 - 50th Street, Edmonton (Golf Course Clubhouse) from 9:30 am to 9:00 pm. A day of stitching and sharing memories was enjoyed by all who attended.

Registration included lunch (soup and make your own sandwiches), cake in the afternoon, and dinner (white wine chicken, roasted potatoes, steamed veggies, etc.)
