Fibre Potpourri 2023
The Magic of Embroidery
MAY 12th to 14th
Hosted in person
by the
Calgary Guild of Needle and Fibre Arts
at Red Deer Polytechnic in
Red Deer, Alberta
There are so many things that are magical about embroidery. Designs are transformed from ideas in your mind to physical items to admire for years to come.
Embroidery has the way of taking you out of your stressful life and assists you in being mindful of the world around you. It also connects one generation to the next, through passing on knowledge and stories.
In the last 2 years, during the Covid19 Pandemic, embroidery and many hand crafts helped people who were coping with isolation and stress in their lives.
So now that we are once again meeting in person for Fibre Potpourri, we invite everyone to emerge from their own cocoon, spread your wings and join us in celebrating the Magic of Embroidery!
