Virtual Spring Fling

Retreat Weekend with an Elective Mini Workshop

Gather on Zoom & Stitch at Our Second Virtual Spring Fling! Hosted by Edmonton Needlecraft Guild & replacing in-person Fibre Potpourri, which has been postponed since 2020.

Time: Saturday and Sunday the gates open at 8:30 AM, with scheduled activities from 9 AM sharp to 5 PM but you may stay into the evening.

Guest Speakers:

  • Michele Carragher, British costume embroiderer for film and television productions  including Game of Thrones and The Crown.

  • Anne Brooke, Yorkshire artist and teacher who interprets the world around her and life's  journeys in collage and stitch.

  • Cecilia Charlton, London based American artist who creates embroideries that engage with the  formal history of abstraction to explore a broad range of themes.

  • Susan Purney Mark, Pender Island, BC textile artist who explores the wonderful world of  Surface Design.

Elective Workshop: For an additional $20, register for a workshop that will take place Saturday & Sunday mornings. 

  • Sweet Spring Pin Pocket, taught by the San Francisco School of Needlework and Design

  • Supply list will be provided. 

  • Only 25 spots are available.

    • This workshop is now FULL but please join the retreat.

    • You may add your name to the workshop waiting list.

Cost for 2 day Retreat: $25

Cost for 2 day Retreat & SFSNAD Workshop: $45

Cancellation policy: Registration requires full payment and is NON-REFUNDABLE. ENG reserves the right to cancel event due to low enrollment or other circumstances. 

Programming: Programming will occur during the day but you may stay and stitch as long as you  wish in the evening.
